Session 06: Building AI that Acts
Опис
The Model Context Protocol: Giving AI Safe Access to Real Software About the Event AI becomes much more useful when it can do more than generate text. Imagine an AI system that can search your knowledge base, access relevant application data, use business tools, and take actions on your behalf. But connecting AI to all these systems can quickly become complicated. Every new tool can require a different integration, different rules, and different ways of handling data and errors. In Session 06 of this series, we introduce the Model Context Protocol (MCP)—an open standard designed to make it easier for AI systems to connect with external tools, data, and services in a consistent way. We will explore how MCP works, why it matters for modern AI applications, and how we can use it to give AI access to software capabilities while keeping those interactions controlled and secure. What We'll Cover The Hands-On Codelab: Giving AI Access to Our Software In this practical workshop, participants will build an MCP server and connect it to real application capabilities. Together, we will: By the end of the session, participants will have built a working MCP server that allows an AI application to discover information, use tools, and interact with real software in a controlled way.
