OpenAI Build Week Community Workshop - Taichung

Welcome to the OpenAI Build Week Community Workshop - Taichung. This is a hands-on workshop for local developers, designers, product builders, founders, students, and AI builders in Taiwan. We will introduce OpenAI Build Week, learn how to integrate Codex into daily development workflows, and turn ideas into prototypes that can be showcased and tested. OpenAI Build Week is a series of global local events including hack nights, workshops, meetups, and hackathons. The goal is for builders to learn Codex, hands-on build together, and participate in the global Build Week challenge. You do not need to have a complete project ready. You can bring an idea, a development process that is stuck, a work to showcase, or simply come with curiosity to participate. Agenda: 6:30 PM — Check-in, networking, food & drinks; 6:45 PM — Welcome: Introduction to OpenAI Build Week; 7:00 PM — Intro to Codex and AI coding workflows; 7:30 PM — Hands-on workshop: from idea to prototype; 8:15 PM — Break and networking; 8:30 PM — Builder showcases: 2-minute demos, idea or WIP sharing; 9:00 PM — Hackathon briefing: Taiwan local hackathon and global Build Week challenge; 9:20 PM — Q&A, next steps, and open networking; 9:30 PM — Wrap up. Builder Showcases: If you have a demo, prototype, open-source project, AI workflow, or just want to discuss an idea, feel free to share on-site. We will reserve time for builders to do short shares. Works in progress are very welcome. Join after for Hackathon: This workshop is also a warm-up for the OpenAI Build Week Community Hackathon - Taipei on July 19. We welcome you to meet partners, organize topics during the workshop, and turn ideas into demo-ready works at the Taipei Hackathon. We will also introduce how to participate in the global Build Week challenge and give your work a chance to be seen by more builders. Food & Drinks: Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. Please remember to bring your laptop, charger, and any tools you need for building.
