Duoc UC A Puertas Abiertas, in collaboration with the Municipal Theatre of Viña del Mar and the French Institute of Chile, invites you to enjoy “Ersatz,” an innovative object theatre proposal created by French actor and director Julien Mellano, which will be presented for the first time in Viña del Mar.Internationally acclaimed and applauded by thousands of spectators since its premiere in 2018, this unique staging combines theatre, visual arts, and object manipulation to build a universe that is as surprising as it is reflective. Without resorting to verbal language, the play offers an original perspective on the human being of the future and their relationship with the rapid technological advancements.Through ingenious visual effects, transformed everyday objects, and sharp humor, “Ersatz” invites the audience to question and explore concepts such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, cybernetics, and transhumanism.
