NextWave Hackathon 2026: São Paulo

Build a functional AI-native prototype in São Paulo from 28–30 August 2026, tackling real payments or logistics challenges for a £25,000 prize pool.Co-organised by Yuno and Nauta, NextWave Hackathon 2026 brings builders together to address a real product and technology challenge. Yuno and Nauta work across global payments, supply chains and logistics, giving participants the opportunity to create technology with direct relevance to industries that move money and goods around the world.The in-person hackathon runs from 8pm on Friday 28 August until 8am on Sunday 30 August (GMT-3) in São Paulo. The precise venue will be shared with approved participants.## What you’ll doWorking in a team of four, you will:- Build a functional prototype around a real challenge- Explore the future of payments, logistics and AI-native technology- Decide what to prioritise and turn an idea into a working solution- Demonstrate your problem-solving, product thinking, creativity and execution- Present the finished prototype to company leadersWinning teams will compete for a £25,000 prize pool, awarded through a combination of cash and OpenAI credits. This emphasis on a functioning prototype, not simply a concept or slide deck, makes NextWave a practical test of how effectively your team can make decisions and deliver under time pressure.## Who should apply?The organisers are looking for anyone who can build, including experienced professionals, final-year students and recent graduates in computer engineering or related fields. Applicants should have B1-level English or above, an eagerness to learn and the ability to think like product creators. Coding skill matters, but selection also considers judgement, motivation, creativity, experience and diversity of profiles.Teams must contain four participants.
