Nairobi | Fable 5.1 Build Day

Anthropic has launched Fable 5.1, its latest model, in the week of 1 September. On Saturday 19 September, Nairobi will build upon it for an entire night, becoming one of the first cities in the world to host a Build Day based on it. You can choose one of three tracks: Delight, Breakthrough, Everyday. Briefings will be provided on the day. Every approved builder receives $100 in Claude API credits. Demos are judged live in the room, based on four equal criteria from Anthropic's Build Day scorecard: New Capability, It Works, Keep or Share, Clarity of Demo. On 2 September, at Impact Lab 02, a team developed an offline tool for a Year 10 teacher preparing a subject she had never been trained for, with Claude accessing a curriculum knowledge base. They named it Elimu Mtaani. It won, out of 19 live demos by the end. The builders rated that day 4.5 out of 5. This one operates on the newest model Anthropic has.
