Hackathon | Translating AI Safety (Content x Comms)
Опис
Organised by LIaiSE x Frame Fellowship, supported by BlueDot Impact Saturday 22 August | 9:30 AM – 9 PM, Central London The narratives surrounding AI risks today will influence how policymakers regulate it, how the media reports on it, and how the public perceives it. There exists a significant gap between the AI safety research conducted and the understanding of the public, including policymakers who make decisions regarding these risks. This is your opportunity to bridge that gap. Transform complex safety concepts into tangible, high-impact products - whether it’s a one-page briefing that a policymaker will actually read, an online explainer, a content video that resonates with the public, or a viral news piece! Who is this for? You are interested in AI safety and wish to gain more insights into risks by utilising your creative ideas. No coding is necessary. Please bring your laptops and any equipment (camera, mic, etc.) you may require during the hackathon. We will provide the themes; you will determine the best medium to convey them. We’ll have AI safety organisations and AI safety content specialists speaking and mentoring. (More updates coming soon!) Prizes The winning team receives up to £500 in cash prizes and a mentorship session with Akshyae, Founder, Frame Fellowship (San Francisco). Schedule Spaces are limited - apply early! We will provide meals on the day! About the organisers LIaiSE (London Interface for AI Safety) assists curious and motivated generalists from all backgrounds in developing the fluency, network, and foundation to enter the AI safety field. Frame Fellowship is a 10-week San Francisco accelerator nurturing the next generation of AI communicators - the work of its fellows has been highlighted in The Washington Post and has led to roles and funding throughout the AI safety ecosystem.
