This practical, friendly and beginner-oriented workshop has been designed specifically for individuals working in charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and the public sector. Over the course of the day, you'll discover how free and low-cost AI tools can help you save time, generate ideas, reduce admin, create content more quickly and support your daily work. Whether you're writing funding applications, creating social media content, planning projects, researching information or simply trying to manage your workload, AI can become a genuinely useful addition to your toolkit. This isn't a generic "AI for business" course. Everything is tailored to the realities of third sector organisations, with plentiful opportunities to ask questions, experiment with tools and explore real-life applications relevant to your role. Together, we'll explore a range of accessible tools including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Canva, NotebookLM, Notion, Perplexity and Google Lens, as well as tools for transcription, voice-to-text, handwriting recognition, research, content creation and more. If you can send an email and browse the internet, you have all the skills required to get started. The workshop is highly interactive, with plenty of opportunities to have a go yourself, ask questions and learn alongside others.
