Most teams start with a CI/CD pipeline and a couple of EC2 instances and call it DevOps. In this session we walk through the full journey, from those first pipelines and manual deployments, through the growing pains of scale, all the way to a production-grade cloud-native platform with self-service infrastructure, automated compliance, and AI-assisted delivery workflows. Claudio will share lessons learned, real failures. Understand a practical maturity ladder you can use to assess where your team is today and what it takes to get to the next level. There are two modes of AI operation, and conflating them muddies a lot of waters. "AI Is The Product" runs the model at run-time: every user request fires off a model call, and you pay for tokens and roll the dice on every execution. "AI Builds The Product" runs the model once at build-time to produce something deterministic (code, config, a test suite) that then runs cheaply and predictably forever. We will walk through scenarios where everyone instinctively reaches for run-time AI and show how flipping to build-time yields something cheaper, faster, and fails in exactly the same way every time.
