Welcome to the Code for Communities Code Sprint, where we bring the best ideas, shape them and enable them to take part in the ultimate Code for Communities Hackathon. Please note: This event is not a hackathon, but a code sprint, enabling teams with ideas and prototypes to refine them and submit them for the Code for Communities hackathon. Participation in this event is not mandatory to submit your projects to the hackathon. About Code for Communities: Build with AI: Code for Communities is a Google Cloud hackathon that brings together developers from across India to build AI-powered solutions for the challenges that matter most, right here at home. Healthcare supply chains. Climate resilience. Food security. Digital public infrastructure. Problems India's own cities, states, and communities face every day — and need builders to help solve. This hackathon is built around one theme: solving for India. Solutions designed by Indian developers, for Indian problems, at Indian scale. The in-person Demo Day will happen in October. More details will be shared with shortlisted teams. What’s the challenge? Build solutions around four pillars: Resilience: Building systems that help communities withstand and recover from environmental or economic shocks. Sustainability: Developing solutions focused on renewable energy, waste reduction, and long-term ecological balance. Innovation: Utilising cutting-edge Google technologies (AI, Cloud, Firebase) to disrupt traditional workflows for social good.
