Agreeing on What Things Mean: Building a Data Platform for People and Agents Hosted by Data & AI Stockholm × Nextory × Omni 📅 Tuesday, September 8, 2026📍 Nextory, Stockholm⏰ 17:30 – 20:30 Join Data & AI Stockholm, Nextory, and Omni for an evening combining a real-world case study, a hands-on workshop, and networking with Stockholm's Data & AI community. As AI and agents become increasingly capable of working with company data, one challenge becomes more important than ever: do we actually agree on what our data means? Around 1.5 years ago, Nextory started rebuilding its data platform, including a full rebuild of ingestion, modeling, and reporting, as well as moving its BI environment to Omni. Much of that journey has focused not only on technology, but on something more fundamental: deciding what things actually mean. Which entities and metrics are needed to describe the business? What should they be called? Where should those definitions live? And how do you make sure both people and AI agents are working from the same understanding? In this session, Carl Niblaeus from Nextory will share how their data platform is structured, why the team works declaratively and generates code instead of writing it, how these decisions have mattered for agentic analytics, and what they still haven't solved. Rather than presenting a perfect success story, they'll share the practical decisions, lessons, and challenges that have shaped Nextory's journey so far. Hands-On Workshop with Omni Following the Nextory case study and Q&A, we'll move into a hands-on workshop together with Conor O'Mara (all the way from Australia) from Omni. We'll take some of the ideas from the presentation and explore how modern analytics and AI workflows can work in practice, giving you the opportunity to experiment, ask questions, and get hands-on. 💻 Please bring your laptop if you'd like to participate in the workshop.
