AI4Science: Sprint on Battery Electrolytes

AI4Science gathers engineers, researchers, and scientists who are shaping the future of scientific discovery with AI, covering materials, climate, biology, and machine learning itself. This edition will be a three-hour sprint focusing on one of the most challenging open problems in battery development: predicting how effectively a liquid electrolyte conducts lithium ions based on its formulation. Utilising CALiSol-23, a dataset containing nearly 14,000 experimental conductivity measurements across 38 solvents and 14 lithium salts, teams will develop models that must generalise to new chemistries they have never encountered.
