Then we return to the room.What This IsThis is not a lecture night. It is not a demo day. It is not a room full of people pretending they came for the name tags.It is a simple Friday happy hour: drop in, say hello, sit with a few people, stand at the bar, compare notes, ask the question you have been carrying around all week. Stay for 20 minutes or stay the whole time.BC + AI already has talks, labs, office hours, courses, and meetups. AHH FQ is the casual space between all of that. The place where hallway conversation gets its own night.Why FriendsQuartersDean and the FriendsQuarters crew invited this community into their space because FQ is already part coworking room, part media shop, part event floor, and part neighbourhood hangout.FQ 116 has the right vibe for this: brick, hardwood, atrium light, a bar, a podcast room in the back, and enough Gastown eccentricity around the edges to keep it genuine.
