AI Hackathon – Jersey’s 48-Hour AI Challenge Date: Friday 2 October – Sunday 4 October 2026 Location: Digital Jersey Hub, Grenville Street, St. Helier Duration: 48 hours (Friday 5pm – Sunday 5pm) Organiser: Digital Jersey ### What It's About A high-energy weekend where innovators, developers, and creatives come together to tackle Jersey’s real-world challenges using AI. With a £10,000 prize pot, this hackathon is your chance to build a working prototype that could make a tangible difference to the island – whether in healthcare, finance, tourism, education, or a brand-new sector. ### Who It's For Anyone aged 18+ with a passion for AI and problem-solving. You can join as an individual or as part of a team (up to six people). ### Key Details - The Challenge: Pick a sector, find the problem, and build the solution. The only rule? It must be real, use AI meaningfully, and matter for Jersey. - Example Challenges (you're not limited to these): - Healthcare & Ageing: AI for predictive health modelling, triage support, or assistive tech. - Financial Services: Regulatory intelligence, client insight, or skills transition tools. - Visitor Economy: Personalisation, dynamic pricing, or local intelligence engines. - Skills & Education: Adaptive learning, labour market analytics, or workforce planning. - A New Economic Sector: Greentech, creative industries, deep tech, or digital exports. - Judging Criteria & Prizes: £10,000 in prizes for the most innovative use of AI, greatest potential economic impact, and best working prototype.
