Works in Progress is a monthly evening for designers and creative professionals who want to see how AI and new tools are actually changing the way creative work gets made. Most design events celebrate the finished result. This one opens up what happens before that. Not finished projects, not polished case studies. Speakers open their laptops, show their live workflows and tool stacks, and share what changed in their process, including what broke along the way. Bring your questions, your current work, your curiosity. 21:30 — Drinks and open end 🧑‍💻 Speakers Speaker #1 — Jörg Kahlhöfer is a Creative Director and 3D Generalist based in Hamburg, working at the intersection of real-time rendering, motion design, and cinematic storytelling. Trained at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, he has led projects for Gillette, Siemens, Bugatti, and Oral-B. His current practice centers on Gaussian Splatting, Unreal Engine, and photogrammetry, turning real-world scans into reusable production assets. At Works in Progress, he'll show what that actually looks like in practice. Speaker #2 — Niko Pelz is a freelance Digital Creative, Art Director, and UI/UX Designer based in Hamburg, working on digital experiences for brands like MOIA, IKEA, and Mercedes-Benz. Freelance since 2017, his practice spans strategy, design, and (when his daughter is asleep) becoming a wannabe developer with Claude’s help.At Works in Progress, he’ll walk through building an app for planning playdates, exploring what’s possible without writing a single line of code. He’ll show where the pitfalls hide, which parts of the process you can hand off to AI, and which you can’t, all driven by one question: “What if?” 🎤 Be a Speaker at our Next Event We’re always looking for voices from Hamburg’s creative community.
