The 17th Berlin Open Access Conference (B17) will focus on the importance of open access in research, addressing issues like equity, author rights, and research integrity. It aims to foster discussions among scientists, policy-makers, and institutions to enhance transparency and collective responsibility in scholarly publishing. The conference highlights the need for structural changes in funding and dissemination of research outputs to promote equitable knowledge sharing.
