Opis

Join Us for AI, Energy & the Environment! Artificial intelligence may feel invisible, but the technology behind it depends on real-world infrastructure, energy, water, and data centers. Join us for AI, Energy & the Environment, a free, in-person community event exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence, technology infrastructure, and the environment. Through a community panel, real-world examples, and audience Q&A, we’ll explore topics such as: • The resources and infrastructure that help power AI • The growth of data centers and what it means for communities • Energy, water, and environmental considerations connected to AI • Opportunities for more responsible and sustainable technology • Questions and perspectives surrounding the future of AI This session is designed to offer a fact-based, approachable conversation for anyone interested in learning more about what powers AI and how its continued growth may affect our communities and environment. No technical background or previous AI experience is required. Bring your curiosity and your questions. Why Attend In Person? Attendees will have opportunities to connect with presenters and other community members, participate in the conversation, enjoy light refreshments, enter to win door prizes, and pick up AI for Everyone swag and giveaways. Come learn, ask questions, and be part of the conversation about AI and the world around us. This discussion, “AI, Energy and the Environment,” is intended to be educational and informative. The views and opinions expressed by individual panelists are their own and do not necessarily represent the positions of Wake Tech or its partners. Topics such as artificial intelligence, energy production, infrastructure development, and data centers involve complex questions and competing priorities. Our goal today is not to advocate for or against a particular technology, company, project, or public policy. Instead, we hope to provide factual information, explore multiple perspectives, and help our community better understand both the opportunities and challenges associated with continued technological advancement.
