They have organized events like the Lightwood Alternative Very Informal Totally Simplified Easter Festivity (LAVITSEF) in 2013. The group maintains an active Facebook presence for updates and community engagement. Regular non-garbed meetings for Arts and Sciences, business meetings, and archery are held weekly. The Canton of Lightwood is a sub-group of the Barony of Ynys Fawr, covering Tasmania.
