In From Image to Object: AI-Assisted 3D Printing, participants turn a visual idea into a physical object using AI and digital fabrication tools. Guided by artist Moises Sanabria, they create an image from a reference and prompt, convert it into a 3D model, check it for printability, and prepare an approved PLA print. This six-hour workshop is designed for ages 16+ with basic 3D printing experience. Participants must bring a reference image or photograph an object during class. Moises Sanabria is a Miami-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice connects artificial intelligence, digital fabrication, participatory systems, and contemporary art. His teaching translates emerging tools into structured, artist-centered workflows that participants can understand, document, and continue using after a workshop. For Moonlighter, he guides participants through the complete path from visual reference and AI-assisted concept development to mesh review, slicing, production approval, and a durable take-home archive. Where is the Workshop? Moonlighter FabLab is located on the ground floor of the Pennsylvania Garage next to New World Symphony.
